Botpoison Terms of Service

Effective date: 17 October 2026

By accessing, browsing, or otherwise using Botpoison ("Service"), you are agreeing to be bound by the following terms and conditions ("Terms").

Your access to and use of the Service is conditioned on your acceptance of and compliance with these Terms.

Account terms

  • You must be at least 16 years old to have an account.
  • You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and authentication credentials. Do not share your account credentials or give others access to your account. The Service cannot and will not be liable for any loss or damage from your failure to comply with this security obligation.
  • You are responsible for all content posted and activity that occurs under your account (even content posted by others from any site linking to the Service).
  • Give us accurate information when you create your account, and keep it current.
  • The Free plan's Classify allowance is one per person: every Free workspace you create shares it. Opening more accounts to get more free usage counts as circumventing your plan's limits.
  • Do not use a name that belongs to someone else, or that you have no right to use.

What you may not use the Service for

  • Anything illegal in your jurisdiction or in Belgium.
  • Protecting or screening forms that collect passwords, payment card numbers or other credentials under a false identity (phishing).
  • Impersonating another person or organisation.
  • Sending or enabling unsolicited bulk email.
  • Sending content to Classify from forms built to collect children's personal information, health information or criminal history.
  • Circumventing your plan's limits, or probing, overloading or reverse-engineering the Service.

To report someone breaking these rules, email support@botpoison.com with "Abuse" in the subject.

Your content

  • You keep all rights to the content you send to the Service. We own the Service itself: its code, models and databases.
  • You give us permission to process your content to provide the Service to you. That means issuing and verifying challenges, scoring content sent to Classify and returning the verdict, and showing you your activity.
  • You also allow us to use content sent to Classify to train and evaluate Botpoison's spam detection models, as our Privacy Policy describes. Your own privacy notice should tell the people who fill in your forms that a provider screens submissions for spam and may use them to improve its models.

Data Processing Agreement

Our Data Processing Agreement forms part of these Terms. It applies to every customer, at no extra cost, and needs no signature. Where the two differ on personal data, the Data Processing Agreement prevails.

Cancellation and termination

  • You can cancel a paid plan at any time by moving the workspace to the Free plan under Plan & usage in its settings.
  • To close your account, email support@botpoison.com. Your account is closed when you receive a confirmation email from the Service.
  • Closing your account deletes the workspaces you own and everything in them, straight away. That cannot be undone.
  • We may suspend or close an account that breaks these Terms, or where the law requires it.

Modifications to the Service

  • We may change or discontinue any part of the Service, temporarily or permanently. Where a change would break how you use Botpoison, we post it on this page at least 30 days before it takes effect. We do not notify you individually. It is your responsibility to check this page for changes.
  • The Service shall not be liable to you or to any third party for any modification, price change, suspension or discontinuance of the Service.

Payment terms

  • Any plan downgrade will become effective at the end of the then-current billing cycle.
  • There will be no prorating for downgrades in-between billing cycles.
  • Downgrading your Service may cause the loss of features or capacity of your account. The Service does not accept any liability for such loss.
  • We may change prices and fees. We announce a change on our pricing page at least 30 days before it takes effect, and it applies from the start of a later billing cycle.
  • Refunds are only issued if required by law.

Limitation of liability

We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss. That includes lost profits, lost data, lost goodwill and other intangible loss, arising from:

  • Your use of the Service, or your inability to use it.
  • The conduct or content of any third party on the Service.
  • Any content you obtained through the Service.
  • Unauthorised access to or alteration of what you sent or stored with us.

This limit does not apply to fraud, to death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or to anything else the law says we cannot exclude.

Disclaimer

You use the Service at your own risk. It is provided as it is.

We give no warranty that it will be uninterrupted, secure, or available at any given moment. We do not warrant that every defect will be fixed, or that the results will meet your needs.

Nothing here removes a right the law gives you and does not let us exclude. If you are a consumer in the EU, your statutory rights stand.

Accuracy of materials

The materials appearing on the Service's website and any other communication formats could include technical, typographical, or photographic errors.

The Service does not warrant that any of these materials are accurate, complete or current.

The Service may make changes to these materials at any time without notice. However, the Service does not make any commitment to update these materials.

Governing law and disputes

  • The law of Belgium governs these Terms, without regard to its conflict of law rules.
  • Talk to us before going to court. Both sides should try to settle a dispute by discussion or mediation first. A mediator has to be one both sides accept.
  • Disputes are settled in Belgium, unless the law says otherwise. If you are a consumer, you keep the right to bring a claim where you live.
  • If we do not enforce a right, we have not given it up. If a court finds one clause unenforceable, the rest still stands.
  • These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and the Data Processing Agreement, are the whole agreement between us about the Service. They replace any earlier agreement about it.

Changes to these Terms

We update these Terms when the Service or the law changes. The effective date at the top tells you which version you are reading.

When a change matters to you, we post it on this page at least 30 days before it takes effect. We do not notify you individually. It is your responsibility to check this page for changes. If you do not accept a change, close your account before it takes effect.

A change never applies a new use of your data to data we received before it took effect.

Corrections that change nothing material, such as a typo or a broken link, take effect when they are posted on this page.
