California Privacy Rights

Effective date: 17 October 2026

This page explains your rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act, and how to use them. We do not sell your personal information.

Who this page is for

This page is for California residents. We extend the same rights to residents of every other US state.

It covers what we hold about you as a Botpoison customer or a visitor to botpoison.com. If you filled in a form on a site that uses Botpoison, the owner of that site decides what happens to your data, and we act as their service provider. Please contact them first.

What we collect, and why

  • Identifiers: your email address and IP address, to run your account, to sign you in, and to keep the Service free of abuse.
  • Commercial information: your plan and payment records, to bill you.
  • Internet or other electronic network activity: browser type, operating system and access times, recorded by our servers and error reports to keep the Service working.
  • Customer records: your billing address, to calculate tax and to print on your invoices.
  • Content you send us: support messages and correspondence, to help you.

The Privacy Policy explains each of these in more detail, including how long we keep them.

Sensitive personal information

We do not collect sensitive personal information about you. Our Terms forbid customers from sending us content from forms built to collect health information, criminal history or children's data.

Where we get it

  • From you, when you sign up, pay, or write to us.
  • From your browser, when you visit botpoison.com.
  • From our customers, when their visitors fill in a form protected by Botpoison.

What we use it for

To provide and secure the Service, to process payments, to answer support requests, and to fix errors.

Content our customers send to Classify may also be used to train and evaluate our spam detection models.

Who we disclose it to

We disclose personal information to the vendors on our subprocessors page, for the business purposes listed there. Our contracts with them restrict how they may use it.

Do we sell or share it

No. We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising. This holds for everyone, including anyone under 16. botpoison.com runs no analytics, no advertising tags and no tracking pixels.

  • To receive a copy of it in a portable format.
  • To opt out of the sale or sharing of it.
  • To limit the use of sensitive personal information.
  • Not to be treated differently for using any of these rights.

Global Privacy Control

We do not read the Global Privacy Control signal, because we never sell or share personal information. If that ever changes, we will honour it.

The rest of the picture

Our Privacy Policy covers everything else, including security and transfers.
