# Projects

A project is one site or app. It has one public key and one secret key, and both work with every product, so a site that uses Challenge and Classify holds one pair of keys, not one per product.

## Creating a project

- In your dashboard, press `New project`.
- Name it after the site or app it protects.
- Copy the secret key into your server's environment. It is shown only this once.

Then follow the getting started guide of each product you use. Every guide takes the same two keys. See [Keys](https://botpoison.com/documentation/platform/keys/) for where each one goes.

## One project per site or app

Create a project for each site or app you run. Separate projects keep their keys, their activity and their settings apart, so rerolling one project's secret key leaves the others alone. A workspace holds up to 250 projects.

## Activity and usage

A project's Activity tab shows each product it uses over the last 15 days. Usage still counts per product, and every project in a workspace adds up to that workspace's allowance. See [Usage and limits](https://botpoison.com/documentation/platform/usage-and-limits/).

## Settings

A project's Settings tab holds its keys, its name and its blocked IP addresses. See [IP address blocking](https://botpoison.com/documentation/product/ip-address-blocking/). Deleting a project stops its keys at once for every product and removes its history.
